Fall Reading

So I’m switching now into stuff I read in the fall and later…note, I have to make a correction here. I realized that I counted Rita Wong’s Forage twice in the spring (numbers 17 and 23), probably because I read it twice and don’t pay close attention to what I’m doing when busy. To rectify that, I’ve switched down a number to start this post and compensate for the evil Wong doppelganger.

58. A Strategic Guide to Technical Communication - Heather and Roger Graves

This is the text for the COMS 363 class I teach and mark for. It’s not bad, given the attention it pays to audience and genre, which is really the key to effective technical writing, but the material’s a bit dated and I’m looking forward to potentially switching texts this coming year. I hope they update it - I like supporting Broadview publications.

59. GMAT Review, 12th ed - GMAT

Teaching for Renert now…I’ll include the student workbook we have to go along with this as part of a whole, even if that whole is fricking massive.

60. GRE, 10th Edition - ETS

Same deal.

61. MCAT Verbal Reasoning Techniques - Exam Crackers

Same deal.

62. LSAT Prep and Workbook - LSAC

Same deal. The edits and revisions for the GMAT and LSAT stuff was especially time consuming this fall. Some excitement.
